Sway Jah Vu, a Florida based Reggae fusion band, uses a refreshing and innovative approach to ‘genre splicing’. With a distinct acoustic reggae-rock sound, Sway Jah Vu blends soul, jazz, and funk with powerful vocals and hard hitting beats. “We want to push the limits for creating new and exciting music while staying true to our mission of creating a cultural sway.”

Since it’s inception from lead vocalist Travis Cockerham’s former project Wayback Whensday in early 2014 the young reggae band, made up of Logan Pepper(bass), Terrell Sermon(percussion), Brad Foutch(guitar), Eric Kennedy(saxophone), James Bourbeau(keys), and Blake Griffin(drums), has been working hard to release their debut EP Stealing Secrets produced by acclaimed producer J Cruz.

While touring the Southeast Sway Jah Vu is constantly evolving the way they impact their community by putting on free shows for fans, participating in benefit concerts for charity, and volunteering with their respected organizations. “There’s not enough people fighting the good fight so we decided to give back wherever we can .”

“Stealing Secrets” EP, released May 2014, has an inspirational theme and was written mostly about evolving your thoughts to come to a higher understanding about life. While also focusing on addiction and the struggles that it brings. “We wanted to give people hope who maybe felt like they had lost it.”

With every inspi-reggae song Sway Jah Vu continues to exemplify the message “every day is a second chance”
